Welcome from the Dean

Welcome to the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems. We are very proud of the vibrant tech community that thrives on our New York City and Westchester campuses, where excellent teaching, research, and innovation is part of our DNA.

Founded in 1983, we are one of the first dedicated schools of computer science and information systems in the country. The Seidenberg School is named in honor of Ivan G. Seidenberg, former chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications, Inc. who generously supported the School with a gift that enables student scholarships and other academic opportunities to this day.

At the Seidenberg School, you will have the opportunity to study key technological fields in the areas of computer science and information systems, including cybersecurity, game development, artificial intelligence, software development, human-centered design, computer engineering, robotics, and machine learning.

From our location in New York, students get access to the biggest companies in tech, from Google, Microsoft and Amazon to major banks and financial institutes like JPMorgan Chase and MasterCard. They get impressive internships and jobs that our large, successful alumni base can attest to. All of that comes after a meaningful, thorough education with hands-on experience in the classroom, at conferences, and at hackathons.

As a Seidenberg student, you will be part of a community of students, faculty, alumni, corporate executives, tech entrepreneurs, and government leaders who are shaping the future of technology.

As Interim Dean, I get to work with our students both as a professor and as a leader. I see the passion, resilience, and dedication that takes them from semester one to their first job after graduation and I work with the faculty and staff that help make it happen. If you鈥檇 like to learn more, just reach out.
