Academics and Advising

Academic Advisement

First year students enrolled in UNV 101 have their UNV 101 instructor as their advisor throughout their first year. Academic Advisors for students beyond their first year are available to support students on both campuses from 9:00 a.m.鈥5:00 p.m., Mondays through Fridays. Students can contact their academic advisor directly through the contact information provided on each school鈥檚 Advisement webpage. Students who do not know their advisor can consult Degree Works in Portal, confirm through 鈥淢y Success Network鈥 in OnTrack, email whoismyadvisor@pace.edu.

Academic Integrity Code

The Academic Integrity Code (PDF) outlines 桃瘾社区鈥檚 philosophy of Academic Integrity and the Academic Integrity Code, as well as, actions that can be taken if not adhered to.

Advising Center for Exploring Majors

The Advising Center for Exploring Majors helps students make informed and realistic decisions about passions, values, and skills as they relate to a major at 桃瘾社区. When guiding students to choose a major, the goal is to be mindful of the life students want and the work they are inspired to do.

Alumni-Student Mentoring Program

In the spirit of Setters helping Setters, the connects current students with 桃瘾社区 alumni to offer everything from life hacks to in-depth career advice to networking in the industry they want to someday break into. Pairs can meet and chat through whatever medium suits them best: email, phone, direct message (DM), or even in person鈥攁ll it takes is that initial "hello."

Center for Community Action and Research

The Center for Community Action and Research (CCAR) offers opportunities for civic engagement through community service, political engagement, and social justice programming. In addition to planning group volunteering events for the 桃瘾社区 community, we provide referrals for students looking to volunteer independently throughout the city (and fulfill volunteer hour requirements!). Our 桃瘾社区 Votes team works to register and empower student voters at 桃瘾社区. CCAR also offers leadership opportunities including work study positions, Vote Everywhere Ambassadors, FACES Teaching Assistants, and volunteer interns. We always welcome students bringing us their ideas for engaging with social justice issues so that we can work together to take action!

Degree Works

Degree Works is a web-based academic reporting and advising tool that outlines the requirements of a particular program and the paths to complete them. It is currently only available to a select undergraduate student population, in addition to faculty, advisors, and staff of the 桃瘾社区 Community.

Endowed Scholarships

are made possible through the generosity of 桃瘾社区 alumni and friends, as well as corporations and foundations. These benefactors have a strong belief in the importance of a 桃瘾社区 education for a student鈥檚 future success. There are over 250 endowed and restricted scholarships available. Applications are reviewed on a first come first service basis and awards are made according to availability of funding.

inspiring Futures

Inspiring Futures provides free comprehensive educational and counseling services to all students who have been part of the foster care system for any part of their lives (and/or who were adopted or raised by someone other than their biological parents). This includes individualized tutoring; coaching on study skills and time management; connection to on-campus resources; navigating college in general; and individual counseling. International Students and Scholars

International Students and Scholars staff assist 桃瘾社区鈥檚 international student population with immigration and acculturation issues and provide globally-themed programs for the entire 桃瘾社区 Community. . The Learning Commons

The Learning Commons (LC) offers tutoring services in multiple subject areas including Writing, Mathematics, the sciences, Economics, Finance, Accounting, and many others. The Learning Commons maintains a supportive academic environment. Students are encouraged to use the drop-in services and work in small groups within the Commons. The LC offers academic skills workshops, mentoring, and exam reviews, as well as individual tutoring where you can work with a knowledgeable tutor to discuss difficult concepts.

Library

桃瘾社区 services include reference and research consultation and assistance; email, text, or chat reference services; Interlibrary loan; CNY and METRO Libraries consortium services; formal classroom group instruction services on research methods and library resources; facilities for class presentation practices and intercampus teleconferencing; circulating laptops and other electronic devices; digital repository; video tutorials; and research guides. Extended hours during midterms and finals.

New Student Experience and Transitions

New Student Experience and Transitions is comprised of the First-Year Experience and Transfer Student Experience offices and is committed to providing a comprehensive and collaborative approach to ensure the personal and academic success of new first-year and transfer students. New Student Experience and Transitions provides guidance, support, and advocacy for new students to create a solid foundation for success and to become active members of the 桃瘾社区 Community.

The 桃瘾社区 Path

In order to be in demand after graduation, students must be able to smoothly transition from the classroom to the real world鈥攖his is where the 桃瘾社区 Path comes in. By combining 桃瘾社区鈥檚 strong academics with internships, clinical placements, student teaching experiences, research opportunities, and other resume-building experiences, the 桃瘾社区 Path helps students become the best version of themselves.

Prestigious Award Opportunities

Offers support and assistance for students and alumni seeking grants/external funding for their research, scholarship, experiential, and creative activities. like the Fulbright, Gilman, Truman, and many more!

Registrar鈥檚 Office

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for course scheduling, degree audit and verification, diplomas, transcripts, transfer credit evaluation, and grades.

Remote Learning and Working

桃瘾社区's Remote Learning and Working site offers pertinent information and guidance for accessing coursework and attending virtual classes as well as resources, services, and policies that will enable students to succeed in their classes.

The student handbook and code of conduct contains key information on policies, procedures, schools, academic services, student affairs, and code of conduct.

Undergraduate Research

Undergraduate research is a faculty-mentored inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student that seeks to make a scholarly or creative contribution to a field of knowledge. The Center for Undergraduate Research Experiences (CURE) in the Office of Research offers a central location for information about undergraduate research throughout the Schools and Colleges of 桃瘾社区. .

Veterans Services

Veterans Services at 桃瘾社区 is here to support veteran students as they navigate the transition to the classroom. As an active duty or veteran student, 桃瘾社区鈥檚 Veterans Services is the point of contact for interaction with other University departments like Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and more.
